It looks like I got the wrong login information, or something, because I recently tried to log on (after MONTHS, I'm so sorry about that), and it said that the account had been purged and deleted. So I accessed my LJ page from my DevientArt profile to check if I had the right user-name... turns out I had typed in 'Shychick' without adding the 52. Then, all I had to do was apply for a new password (which I wrote down, for those instances I'll be absent for awhile), and here I am!

I already updated what's been going on with me on my DA journal, so yeah.

However, I will just say this- what the hell has been going on with that new 'Puppet Master' trilogy Charles Band was talking about some time ago?? I haven't heard anything about it since! I only hope it goes back to its classic roots, and that the puppets actually STAR in it instead of a shitload of cheap and blatently-obvious stock footage of them from the previous films! I want everything about them to be the same- their personalities, their attire, their relationships with each-other... AND NO FRIGGING OBVIOUS PLOT-HOLES ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE!! KEEP TRACK OF WHAT THE FUCK'S ACTUALLY BEEN HAPPENING IN THE DAMN MOVIES, FOR ONCE, BAND!! (I actually thought 'PM Legacy' was a poor, half-assed attempt at filling in the blanks.)

Saw the movie last night. Was it ever good! It was very interesting and unique in the sense that it was far from your typical Killer Doll/Puppet films; it honestly was so different that it can't even be compared with Chucky, or Puppet Master, or Dolly Dearest, or Demonic Toys (just to name a very select few off the top of the my head), and not just in the sense that it's not even a slasher flick; though it still had that satisfying sense of mysterious, suspeneful, goosebump-inducing eeriness. That's all I'll say, because I don't wanna give away any spoilers. The creepy music-box theme that played throughout it was an awesome touch, I thought. But I think a huge reason why this film appealed to me was because it relied far more on the whole "scare" factor rather than blood and guts; and I really wish horror-films would go back to those days. It's what made a movie like, say, "Halloween" so damn awesome. These days, it's next to no real suspense and all gore.

So many people are criticizing this film, because they basically thought it was going to be "Saw" with dummies. *rolls eyes* And the fact that it wasn't that gorey, and that there was hardly any language in it... sheesh. I miss the 70s and 80s, when horror movies appealed more to one's level of fear alone. The kind of feeling that you're being watched, where you want to sleep with the lights on, keep your house locked up tight, and check under your bed and in your closet before going to sleep.

Btw, anybody else notice the quick shot of Billy from "Saw"? And the cool thing is, the main dummy's name is Billy too!

F**K!!!

I have phoned Best Buy, Future Shop, and HMV, to confirm that Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series will be available on the 27th, which is its official release date.

Oh, the joys of living in Canada!! In every store, apparently, that title does not even so much as register on their systems when they checked for me. So, WTF? It's not going to be released here?

Frig, we get everything else, but OH NO! No SatAM release for us! Anything but that one, yup. Well, it figures.

Meh, well, we didn't the 2002 disc either, so...

I'm going to wait for a bit, and it we don't get it after the 27th, then I'll have to order it from Amazon... which I do NOT want to do.

Johnny Five... is ALIVE!

Current Music: Come and Follow Me- Theme for Johnny Five
My newest obsession. I recently picked up both DVDs, having not seen them in YEARS, and have been reminded just why the 80s were a Golden Era for both movies and music alike. The humor, the charm, the characters... it's all there. One of those movies you both laugh and cry at.

I cry everytime I see both movies now. Brilliant stuff. Amazing character, is J5... a robot I have come to love even more than Data, if you can imagine that. Actually, both him and Data are very much alike- both have this child-like innocence, curiosity, and wonder about them, with their awe and fascination with the human world; both are extremely kind-hearted, and have this amazing sense of goodness and purity about them, and both can be rather naive. The only difference is, J5 actually has emotions- something which is a part of being alive, and-while they can burden us, they are the key to understanding and appreciating life in all ways. J5 is just such a heart-warming character, like Data.

J5 is a character, it seems to me, who has learned to truly appreciate the gift of life ever since he became "alive"... his adventures and experiences, both good and bad, have taught him just how precious and amazing life is, and how to learn and grow. He's learned how to be gentle, caring, and respectful to all forms of life- even humans, as hateful and hurtful as they are (and J5 has suffered much at the hands of humans in both films; and despite how hurt, lonely, and isolated he has felt, he has never lost his sense of innocence). He never gives up, no matter how hopeless things seem. He takes each day as a new adventure, always eager to learn more about the world and his environment. And he's learned the true meaning of friendship, of it means to care for somebody and be cared about, and how much more worthwhile it is to be alive; esp when things seem their darkest.

Never in my life- I do not exagerate- have I ever been through such a life-changing expereince. And from a movie- well, two movies- at that! Not only a fictonal character, but a robot too! But the THEME, the message itself... it's there, clear as anything. It has made me look at my own life, and make me realize how disgusted I am with myself. I have grown into a bitter, hateful, spiteful person towards all humanity and the world in general, from the depressing and discouraging way the world is. I have made it my goal in life to see things in a whole new way. I'm not expecting anybody to share my views, even to influence anybody; that's not what I'm trying to achieve here, although that would be great. I'm just getting this off my chest.

One of the best things about the SC series is the end-theme from the first movie, which has been dubbed "Number Five's Theme." It was written specifically for the movie, for J5, and was performed by Max Carl and Marcy Levy. It is a GORGEOUS song- I have no words to even describe it; no other song has touched me on such a profound level. The feeling I get each time I listen to it... I always cry. I can't help it. It not only speaks VOLUMES about the unique and precious quality of the character, but it really makes me think about life in general:

http://www.johnny-five.com/music/follow.mp3

Feels like I came alive just yesterday.
Feels like I'm always gonna feel this way.
Hearts havin' set in motion,
Worlds havin' turned around,
When you've been lost you know when you've been found.

Easy to hide and live your life apart.
Easy to find new ways to kill the heart.
But I've lived through some changes,
Laughter as well as pain.
Now I can dance in sunshine or in rain.

Chorus:
Come and follow me
To wherever the light breaks through.
Come and follow me
And you're gonna be dancing too.
In your eyes I see,
You're alive as me.
So whenever I'm lost then I can follow you.

Too many people throw it all away.
Can't seem to take another empty day.
Trick is to keep believin'.
Trick is to simply see,
Just how great the gift of life can be.

Chorus:
Come and follow me
To wherever the light breaks through.
Come and follow me
And you're gonna be dancing too.
In your eyes I see,
You're alive as me.
So whenever I'm lost then I can follow you.

Bridge:
Just when the light seems to be goin' dim,
You will be there I know like a true friend,
Helpin' me to shine again.

Chorus:
Come and follow me
To wherever the light breaks through.
Come and follow me
And you're gonna be dancing too.
In your eyes I see,
You're alive as me.
So whenever I'm lost then I can follow you.

It was been confirmed on J.K. Rowling's site that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- yes, the title has been confirmed awhile ago- will be released this very summer. July 21st, 2007.

HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF SHAKESPEARE. O.o

I thought we'd have to wait another year or so... damn, that was fast. Well, I know J.K. prides herself on the quality of her series, so I know she didn't rush through it. Also consider, she has known exactly how the final book would turn out for years. It was just a matter- more or less; I'm not saying she didn't make any changes or edits during actually writing it- of copying from her brain to paper.

If Harry dies, like I strongly believe he may, I just know I will fall into such a depressed state for days. I'll fucking bawl my eyes out.

My basic theory- if he doesn't die (taking Voldemort with him, of course; we know Voldy's going to die, whether or not Harry does. I mean, that's just obvious), making the ultimate sacrifice, then he's either going to permanently leave the Wizarding World behind, and return to the world he originally grew up in. Why? Very similar to why Frodo decided to leave the Shire behind at the end of the LotRs series; because after all he's been through, suffered, seen, done... it would be too much for him to bear it any longer. His life in the Wizarding World has been a long, confusing, and painful rollar-coaster ride, to put it simply- and now, all he wants is a simple, happy, normal life in peace... something he's never known. And he knows that, esp after he finally destroys Voldemort, he'll get anything but that if he stays in the Wizarding World. So, I think he might return to the very world he originally knew, the one he grew up in before all this shit was thrown in his face. It would be a VERY difficult and painful decision, but the only way he'd ever truly feel at peace. (Actually, the more I think it, this is how I believe the series will end; it makes perfect sense, and it is certainly believable on Harry's part, and it would be a way to get rid of Harry so that she doesn't have to make any more sequels, rather than kill him.)

But I'll still be depressed if he lives, and makes that choice. Very.

I also have a theory on how he'll end up killing Voldemort, but I'm too tired to post it now. It has to do with Harry/Lily's blood running through Voldemort's veins now, in combination with Harry's unique and deadly (to Voldemort) force of Love and Purity of Heart that's so strongly a part of him. Um, just put two and two together. I just think Voldemort may have overlooked something VERY important when he decided to use Harry's blood... and it should have been more obvious to him when he failed- that is, could not bear- to posess Harry near the end of OttP.

I had a theory as how Harry might die as well, but I honestly cannot remember. O.o

Oh- and I hope Umbitch dies... slowly and painfully too. It would rule to have the Cruciactus Curse done on her until she actually died from it. Rot in hell, you child-abusing, pyschpathic cunt.

People I believe may die:

Peter Petigrew/Wormtail (will ultimately redeem himself by sacrificing his life for Harry, one way or another, thus finally the life-debt he owed to Harry since Year 3 AND making up his treachery to Lily and James)

Draco

Snape

Lupin

Nevile (might die bravely in battle)

Is it over? *Whimpers*

FUCK, it has been FREEZING in my city! I'm talking 34-degrees (C) *including* the wind-chill factor. It's been so hard getting out in this weather, and I do have to go out a lot during the week, almost everyday. Almost every day I've seriously thought I've suffered from severe frostbite. My toes and fingers are always numb, my face just stinging, and my lungs feeling like they're going to give out. It is sheer torture. I almost feel like getting down on my knees and thanking God when I finally get to my destination. (I bus it mostly everywhere, but I always have to wait forever for my bus, plus it's usually a fair walk from my stop to my actual destination. Plus, when I have to take the dogs out... and they refuse to go unless I take them for a bit of a walk.)

But these past couple of days have been just gorgeous! It feels like early spring- the snow and slush has turned to slush, and it's been really warm. Hell, I practically don't even need a coat now! It has been so refreshing, and I mean both the change in weather and the actual weather itself. I just hope that this has been the last period of freezing weather we get. Hopefully, the weather will stay like this. (The odd thing is, from November-January, the weather's been ok, certainly nothing like what I described! Not great, but tolerable. And now, it's somewhat closer to spring, and BOOM- Jack Frost decides to make his debut.)

Man, I'm having MAJOR trouble with this assignment I'm working on for my Library Tech college program. And I've got that assignment, plus another both due on the 27th! I've got to get cracking!

I got this from another LJ friend of mine- apparently, it has spread like wildfire:

Leave a comment and I will:

1) Tell you why I friended you.
2) Associate you with a song/movie.
3) Tell a random fact about you.
4) Tell my first memory of you.
5) Associate you with an animal/fruit.
6) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
7) In return, you MUST spread the chain letter love in your LJ.

In the meantime, AHHHH, HELP! My assignments are piling up rapidly! I can't breath!! :0 I'm drowning! Not to mention, I've run into real difficulties on the one I'm working on now, and it's due next week, and I've got two other assignments due this month... AHHH!

I got a slip in the mail from the Post Office, letting me know that my package is ready to be picked up. FINALLY! After waiting so long (counting a certain bastard whom I have had ill dealings with recently, lol), I'll finally own the Puppet Master series!!! Well, actually, Charles Band owns it, but...

I have been looking high-and-lo for any more information on the confirmed-by-Band-himself PM 10. I only know the basics about it... I think it might already be in production.

Gawd, I hope it has that old-skool PM feel which people seem to relate with at least the first three films. I'm glad Torch and Leech Woman are making a come-back. And I hope the puppets are back to their normal appearances, esp Jester!! I still feel sick when I think of how he looked in PM vs. DT (Demonic Toys, for those who are all "Huh?"). The ugly clothes, the built-in mace that was once his arm, just his whole face... GAH!! And seriously, wtf is up with them having cyber-forms? JEBUS! (Well, Band did promise that he was going back to his roots in this franchise, so I am hopeful; I do know that it takes place around the time of PM III, so that's promising.) Btw, me and Moon both agree that if Jester is to have a weapon at all, it should be a midevil-style axe to carry with him in his belt! That would so suit him, him being a jester and all.

Got back my first assign, ent today. Got a 'B'. Not bad, but I like to aim higher.

Well, I checked my Amazon account last night, and it turns out my request was granted. They refunded me for the entire amount I paid for (or wasted) that DVD set I bought. It should be confirmed on my next credit-card statement. I could not be happier!
I actually wasn't worried that they would deny my appeal, since I presented my case very clearly and accurately, giving them a full account of the facts... and particularly because everybody else who bought from that guy has had the exact same bad experience as me. Besides, I automatically qualified for a refund anyway- you automatically qualifiy if your item was damaged or if you never even got it, especially if you did not manage to settle the matter with the buyer beforehand; particularly if their service was unsatisfactory. I just hope Amazon bans this fucker.

All right!! I checked the order status at my recently-created Monsters In Motion account, and my Puppet Master box-set has been shipped! I should get it in a couple weeks. :D

I never did get it from that jerk on Amazon, after waiting weeks. He never even replied to any of my emails. And, according to everybody else who ordered from him, they never got their product either, much less a reply. Fucking thief. I'm still pissed off at the money I flushed down the shitter there. So, I filed a complaint to Amazon. Should get a reply in a couple weeks. Hopefully, justice will be served.

"You hear that, Grinder? We have a complaint!"
*growling can be heard, and a vicious-looking bulldog emerges* "He gets very... upset when anyone has any complaints."
"D-does he really? Does he do anything about it?"
"He eliminates the problem."
"Oh, you mean he puts it right?"
"No, he eats the customer."
"LOOK! I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER! AND I STAND FOR NOTHING!"
"Wrong! You'll stand waiting at your mailbox, having paid for nothing!"

(Lol, I know two people who will get that; they know who they are.)

In other news, I got started on my first assignment in my new Cataloguing course, which is part of the Library program I'm taking p/t at college. It deals heaviliy with MARC coding, which I was terrified to death of at first, but after actually applying it all day, I've found it's pretty straightforward stuff. Gawd, there's no better feeling than when I've finally got the hang of something!

Was going to post a quiz, but me too lazy. I think I'll go bug Jester instead. Mmmwuahaha...
*Jester looks worried*

Gawd, I hate eating there, and I hate working there even more! It's an idiotic franchise that attracts even more idiots and assholes.

Give me Wendy's anyday. Not only is the restraunt far more sanitary, and the food much better prepared- hell, they actually use gloves- but the service is actually decent!

Went to BK today. There was about four people ahead of me in line, and we all had to wait about five-ten fucking minutes *each*!! Gawd!! How long does it take to make a burger??! After ten minutes, I was like, "Is my burger ready yet?" The woman's like, "We're still working on it." JEBUS!! It's a burger, not a fucking Hollywood production! And they are so unorganized- while the cashiers are waiting for the bugers, they can at least get the fries and drinks! (One women got so impatient, she demanded a refund... and it took about five minutes to give her damn money back!) And the service not only sucks, but the place is a dump too, just like McD's.

Went to WalMart later. Was standing in another long line- well, BK wasn't really a long line; it was just the slow-as-hell service- and finally, I go to pay for my stuff, and... I learn the debit machine is down (I don't carry cash). Of course they didn't even have a sign up, letting people know. And every other asle was freaking long too, so I just left without my stuff.

Well, my mood today inspired me to take this quiz again:
